School Development Plan

Our School Development Plan (SDP) for 2026-27 is firmly rooted in our vision: to ensure that every person is valued, nurtured and empowered to achieve their full potential. Inspired by Jesus’ commandment to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12), our vision is brought to life through our core values of Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Arms. These values guide every decision we make and underpin our priorities for school improvement.

Our Key Priorities for 2026-27

Creating Calm, Purposeful and Inclusive Learning Environments

We aim to create calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environments across the school where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn. Through consistent expectations and positive relationships, we will improve behaviour, engagement and achievement, ensuring that all children can flourish.

Promoting Excellence in Presentation and Handwriting

We are committed to creating and sustaining a culture of excellence in presentation and handwriting through clear expectations, explicit teaching and consistent implementation. By developing pride in learning and high standards across the curriculum, we will enable all pupils to achieve their full potential.

Enhancing the EYFS Curriculum and Environment

We will restructure the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) day and learning environment to ensure all learners have access to a high-quality curriculum. By carefully balancing child-initiated, purposeful play with high-quality adult-led teaching, we will provide the strongest possible foundation for future learning and development.

Embedding Adaptive Teaching Across the School

We will implement and consistently apply adaptive teaching strategies within classrooms and across the school. By creating a fully inclusive learning environment that responds effectively to the needs of all pupils, we will support positive outcomes and ensure every learner can succeed.

Together, these priorities reflect our commitment to living out our vision and values every day. Through Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Arms, we will continue to nurture a school community where everyone is valued, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.
