In Spring 1 we are learning...
In Writing, we begin by creating a poem about toys that come to life, followed by writing a diary entry inspired by Samuel Pepys and The Great Fire of London.
In Maths, we start with a unit on money before moving on to explore multiplication and division.
In Religion and Worldviews, our focus is on caring for our world.
In History, we learn about The Great Fire of London.
In Science we will explore everyday materials and investigate their suitability.
In PSHE, we learn how to keep ourselves safe.
In PE, we develop football skills and apply ‘champion gymnastics’, exploring different pathways (including zig-zags) and creating movements that link together.
In Computing, we learn how to make music using digital tools.
In Art, we design and create 3D clay houses.
In Music, we invent a musical story.
In French, we recap the numbers 1–10, learn how to talk about age, and practise the days of the week.
Our Oracy focus this term is My Favourite Book. Please bring in a book you would like to talk about.
