In Summer 2 we are learning...
In Writing, the children will adapt the Greek myth of Arachne and Athena into a play script. They will then create their own heroes and write their own myth based on the tale of Theseus and the Minotaur.
In Maths, our learning will focus on shape, statistics and finally money.
In RE we will be learning about The Kingdom of God, looking at the impact of Pentecost.
In Reading we will use reading VIPERS to creatively comprehend poetry, fiction and non-fiction texts.
In Science we will be exploring light; how we see, how shadows are formed and how shadows of opaque and translucent materials differ.
In Geography we will be learning about climate zones and the impact that climate change is having on our planet.
In Computing we will be learning how to program in Scratch focusing on the drawing tool.
In French we will be learning the days of the week and months of the year.
In Oracy we will continue to work on our speaking and listening skills.
In PSHE, our Drugs and Tobacco unit will be looking at tobacco as a drug.
In PE and Games will be practising our rounders skills with an external provider, we will also work on and improve our athletics skills.
In Music, the children will continue to practice the recorder.
