Year 4 – Spring 2

In Writing we will be writing a character description about Kensuke from Kensuke’s Kingdom and then an explanation text describing how chocolate is made.

 

In Maths, we will be starting the half term learning about fractions including improper fractions and mixed numbers and then moving onto decimal numbers.

 

In Geography, we will be learning about biomes, what they are and where they are located. We will then focus on temperate forests, rainforests and aquatic biomes and the threats they face.

 

In Science, we will be looking at states of matter. We will learn about solids, liquids and gases and how the particles are made up in each state.

 

In Art, we will be thinking about the design process and creating some patterns using the rainforest as inspiration.

 

In PSHE, we will be learning about wellbeing.

 

In PE, we will be continuing our swimming lessons.

 

In Computing, we will be learning how to use the internet and how it works.
