In Summer 2 we are learning...
In Writing we will be using How to Train your Dragon to inspire us to write a persuasive letter from Hiccup to his dad to change the way Vikings treat dragons. We will then write a diary entry about an event at a lighthouse.
In Oracy we will be continuing to develop our listening skills.
In Maths, we will be starting the half term learning about time before moving onto shape, in particular looking at angles, triangles, quadrilaterals and symmetry. We will then move onto statistics looking at line graphs and finally we will be learning about position and direction.
In Relgion and Worldviews we will be looking at Life Milestones and how and why believers show their commitments during the journey of life.
In Geography, we will be learning about volcanoes and earthquakes. We will find out about tectonic plates, where volcanoes and earthquakes happen and why people still choose to live in these areas.
In Science, we will be looking at living things. We will use classification keys to help group, identify and name a variety of living things and learn about vertebrates and invertebrates.
In Art, we will look at a range of different sculpture techniques.
In DT, we will be designing and making slingshot cars.
In PSHE, we will be learning what to do when things go wrong.
In PE, we will be learning the skills involved in Rounders and Athletics.
In Computing, we will be developing our coding skills using Scratch.
In French, we will be learning how to talk about our likes and dislikes and holidays.
In Music, we will be learning how to perform.
