Remote Learning Summary

At Meanwood CE Primary School, we want children to keep learning even if they can’t attend school for a short time.

When we provide remote learning

We’ll offer remote learning when children are:

  • Unable to attend school but well enough to learn (e.g., infectious illness).
  • Affected by situations where school cannot open safely or government guidance advises otherwise.

What you can expect from us

Teachers will:

  • Set daily learning tasks (2 hours EYFS, 3 hours KS1, 4 hours KS2).
  • Upload work by 3pm the day before.
  • Give feedback on completed work.
  • Stay in touch weekly.

We will also support families with devices, printed resources, and help accessing our online platform where needed.

What we ask from pupils

  • Try to follow a routine similar to the school day.
  • Complete and upload work.
  • Ask for help when needed.

What we ask from parents

  • Support your child’s routine and engagement.
  • Let us know if your child is unwell or unable to complete work.
  • Contact us if you need help— we’re here to support you.

Safeguarding and data

We use secure systems and school devices to protect children’s information and safety during remote learning.

Who to contact

All remote learning queries should go through the school office:
